Welcome to my stop on the 15 minutes blog tour hosted by IFB Tours. I was excited to share this book with you because I have a not so secret obsession with clocks and time travel. Jill stops by the blog to tell us a little about her writing space but first a little about the book.

Jill Cooper's Writing Space

A lot of writers write in trendy places, you’ve probably seen them talking about writing at Panera Bread or Starbucks. Some writers are lucky enough to have a private office shut off from the world, but I write at the kitchen table.

I’m a stay at home Mom to a 3 year old girl, and when she’s not in preschool or off in summer camp, she is my top priority which means my laptop has to be easily accessible. So when I am making dinner, or cleaning the house, I can always see it. I can stop for a few minutes to write or jot down some new ideas.

Behind me the dishwasher is churning, beside me are the rows of cereal and just off my work area, is the living room where toys are beeping and the television sings a song about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but it’s hard to want to change a lick of it. After all, one day she’ll grow up. One day she won’t be here anymore.

So for now, I make sacrifices. And even if part of me wishes I was trendy and carting off somewhere to be alone, instead I write a few sentences, and wipe mustard dribbles off her chin. Trying to cherish those small little moments, instead of allowing them to drive me batty. At least I can be successful—part of the time.
