Bookish Places and Reading Spaces #1

This graphic for sure needs work but this is a feature I've been wanting to do for a while. I always talk about how I think Chicago is the best city and it's suburbs (which is where I live). So I thought why don't I feature some of my favorite bookish places. You know so you know where to hit up in case you ever visit. I've got a huge list, the problem is that I need to get around to take some pictures so I'm not starting in any particular order of importance.

Morton Arboretum Library
The Arboretum is one of my favorite places but I actually only recently discovered the library thanks to my 5 year old son who loves to explore. It's like a hidden little nook of such a huge awesome place.

You walk through a little mini museum type thing on the way into the library. It's just a hallway but I even love the set-up at that.

I just like this scorpion book sketch.

One of the first things I noticed is that it has a card catalog! I was seriously excited.

The Library of full of books on plants and nature mainly. If you need gardening tips or help with your trees, etc... It's quiet, nice and smells like books. It has cool curving couches. Awesome tables with lamps and comfy chairs to sit in. It's a great place to tuck yourself away and read for a bit.

I even got excited they have rolly ladders.

The Morton Arboretum is in Lisle, IL and is huge. I'll probably feature the grounds at some point as well. You can visit their website HERE
