If We Were Having Tea......

So a week ago or maybe it's two weeks now I saw that Jamie on Perpetual Page-Turner  did a If We Were Having Coffee Post. I love her blog and every time I see her do it. I'm like I forgot how awesome that is. Anyway she was originally inspired to do it by Ashley who runs Your Super Awesome Life. It's basically a great way to take break from normal blog post and catch up on the person behind the blog. You know take a coffee break. Since it's been a while since I've done a real Sunday update I figured I would do one of these. The only change I'm making is changing it to tea because at night I drink tea instead of coffee.

My tea of choice tonight....
Beerbutter from my Harry Potter tea collection from Adaigo Teas it's a local tea shop in my city. They only have 3 locations but they ship all over.

If We Were Having Tea........

I would tell you that my dad is going through his second round of cancer. The good news (if there is cancer good news) is that when he had it originally he had two different kinds. Aggresive and Slow growing. His cancer had originated in his bladder, then spread to his kidney (he had one kidney removed) and then to his lymph nodes. The cancer that has grown back is actually the slow growing one. So it usually takes about 2-3 years to do so. So he could keep going through this but keep kicking it's butt each time.

If We Were Having Tea........

I would tell you the thing about having a loved one with cancer is that it's very hard to watch them go through it. You kind of start repeating this mantra to yourself "It's going to be Okay" over and over again. It's almost like shaking a soda bottle it's going to explode at some point. You have that, oh shit this could not be okay moment. That's how I was this week and it was kind of building towards it and then my dad's chemo made him sick and I just started crying at work when someone asked me about it. I felt really silly.

If We Were Having Tea........

I would tell you that my brother thought he was having a heart attack one day at work and had to go to the hospital. He had the symptoms like numb arm, chest pain and light headed. The paramedics saw it and got his blood pressure down. They couldn't find anything at the hospital. He has to go through test now to try to figure out it is. It's more worrisome when you don't know why something like that happened then if you know and can treat it. So I'm worried about him.

If We Were Having Tea........

So I've been feeling kind of down and blah and therefore have not been as active on the blog. I'm hoping to rectify that and get a bunch of post up. I also work 10hr days in the summer and have a 5 and 4 year old with lots of activities to go to. I haven't really been able to make it to signings but now that T-ball is over. I can deal with stress with book love. :)

If We Were Having Tea........
I would say thanks for stopping by and having tea with me.
I also need to really clean my bookshelves so stop back for some giveaways!!!
