All You Desire by Kirsten Miller

"Haven Moore and Iain Morrow have been living a blissful life in Rome, an ocean way from the Ouroboros Society and its diabolical leader. But paradise is not to last. The mysterious disappearance of Haven's best friend, Beau, sends the pair running back to New York, where they encounter the Horae, an underground group of women who have spent centuries scheming to destroy Adam Rosier. Only they can help Haven uncover the secret to Beau's whereabouts in one of her past lives. But their help comes at a price: Haven must infiltrate the Ouroboros Society, charm Adam Rosier, and lure him into a trap. It's a plan the Horae believe will save the world-but Haven and Iain fear that it may destroy the happiness they've been chasing for two thousand years." ~Goodreads

I actually picked this book up at Borders when they were going out of business and after I started reading it I realized it was the second one in the Eternal Ones series. Just with that first chapter I was already hooked, I stopped reading, ran out, bought and devoured the first book. I love the idea of reincarnation and this is the first book that I've ever read that really interwines it into the story and does it well. With the first book I found myself hating the "bad guy" and rooting for Haven and Iain. In this book I started to pity Adam, even like him. I found myself not feeling sure who she should end up with. I even started to understand his bad ways! Being able to explore the characters past lives gives them a depth that you don't usually encounter in other books. The mysterious Horae was a nice touch to the balance of good and evil, showing you that not everything is black and white. A lot of times a cliffhanger ending in a book will leave me angry, this one however left me wondering if I should be cheering or worried. I can't wait until the next installment to see how these characters continue to develop. I love that I don't even have a guess as to what new conflicts they are going to encounter.

Oh how Graphical

I've been adding graphics. Mostly wallpapers right now and basically what i can find on my hardrive.  I want to redo the page so it's easier to navigate but at least I've got some posted for right now. So feel free to decorate your desktop.

Out with October, in with the rest of the year

October is my favorite month and so when I decided to take on the task of revamping my blog, probably not the best month. I spend lots of time outdoors and stuffing my face with everything pumpkin flavored. I have read quite a few books this month which I will be posting my thoughts on soon. Whether you want to read my thoughts or not is up to you. They are coming though...so be afraid...very afraid.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

So I'm slowly revamping this page. I haven't quite gotten off the lazy bus to get more detail in creating my own layout but i have a new header and a new name. For me that's major progress. So we will see where this leads, it's not as if i had a million followers before or that i plan to get a million. I have not yet written my great american novel and become a super talented writer. Everything takes time....:o)

Borders how you did me wrong

I've tried to get into Barnes and Noble, I have really tried. I have trial membership, I've been ordering books online but it just feels cold. I miss the feel of the Borders stores all comfy and cozy. Drinking my green tea latte and eating my snickerdoodle cookie while i kick back with a good book. Not a laptop mind you a book. I spent hours wandering around and judging books by their covers, picking up random reads. I felt like I actually got discounts too. Barnes and Noble feels like a cold book turning machine, trying to get everyone to switch over to their Nook. I'm sorry but I love the weight and smell of a good old fashion paper book. So Borders you have left me high and dry.....I'm just saying.

Wow

Wow. I haven't looked at this blog since 2008.....
I do remember having good intentions for it. Maybe posting some of the avatars and wallpapers i make. Especially since they sit on my computer and i don't do a whole lot with them. Maybe reviewing books since I cruise through them like it's my job. Instead my poor blog has sat empty. I have a wealth of knowledge yet i lack the motivation to share it. So I will have to consider revamping this blog and actually picking something to write about. I'm sure nobody (and I mean nobody) will be shocked if I don't accomplish this feat. Thanks all who pass through and say what the **** is this.
