Dear Elizabeth,

I just want to say first of all you rock. Really though, it took you that long to come around to Mr. Darcy, couldn't you see how enamoured he was with you. Then you were flirting with that other idiot. Since you ended up together in the end I guess I forgive you.

Thanks,
Jen

Book Haul: Sunday Post

Another crazy week for me, my dad ended up in the hospital again with a blod clot in his lung. I'm thinking if we can make it through this week without anyone ending in the hospital it will be good week. We also had our CO detector malfunction so we got to be the people with the Fire Department at our house so our neighbors can wonder what the heck we did. So needless to say I find myself exhausted and a tad bit on the spending side. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to put myself on a book buying freeze. I can't even remember what book I just bought from B&N and I'm dead serious. Although I can tell you I will make an exception for Sever.

Before I get into books I wanted to share some really cool and funny Valentines with you. Since it is the season and all. I'm guessing these are not the ones I should be sending my pre-schooler to school with however. These fun Valentines were created by Yenniper. If you check out her page she also has some Harry Potter Valentines too. I can tell you my husband is going to be getting on of these in his work email....

So let the Valentine's Day Games Begin! (yay I'm cheesy)

On to other things. There is supposed to be big news about Divergent Book #3 tomorrow (Monday) and I think in my head...Finally! I've actually held off on book 2 since I know there is a cliffhanger. There was actually extra casting for the movie on Saturday as well and for some reason I couldn't muster up the energy to drive 45 minutes and go.

I did pick up some books this week, or I should say ordered from Amazon and BN.com (which I'm sure is why stores are closing).  I'm going to a book signing event on Wednesday and I'm really going to see Jennifer Rush because I enjoyed her debut Altered. The other authors that are going to be there are Julie Cross and Erica O'Rouke and it's not that I haven't wanted to read their books, they are just low on my TBR so I picked up the first book in their series to have signed. I'm probably going to read and love the books and wish that I had gotten all the books to have signed but those are the breaks sometimes. I've got to save my pennies for RT. So I bought Torn and Tempest. They were actually both bargain books on Amazon so I guess that worked out for me.

The other book I picked up was The Archived, people seem to be really excited about it and it sounded good to me.

I'm kind of in Sci-Fi reading phase right now. I can't seem to get enough of it. I even picked up a Dr. Who magnet when I was at Books-a-Million, which I didn't even realize that's what the store is. The space they are in is an old Walden bookstore (do people even remember Waldens) and I kept thinking, what kind of name is BAM for a bookstore. So this is my magnet.

The Blog has been slow this week. I did have a cover reveal. You can enter to win a 200 dollar giveaway.

Q: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float -- what would you do to have them throw to you…?

What would I do to get them thrown to me? I'm not sure there is much, since I don't personally stand out but maybe I would find a way to smuggle onto the float. Then snatch the books or lay down in the street in front of it and they would have to give me the books to just to get me out of the way, less annoying then calling security or police.

Cover Reveal & Giveaway: Volition by Lee Strauss

Volition by Lee Strauss (Perception, #2)
April 16th, 2013

Volition is the exciting continuation of PERCEPTION

Zoe Vanderveen is on the run with her captor turned rescuer, Noah Brody.
They're in love.

Or at least that’s what he tells her. Her memories have returned but her feelings are dreamlike—thin and fleeting. Her heart can’t be trusted. Just look at what happened with Taylor Blake.

Senator Vanderveen’s new team of cyborg agents are in hot pursuit, and a reward for their capture is broadcast nationwide. Record breaking cold and snow hinder their escape. Someone dies helping them.

And their fight for survival has only begun.

About Book 1:

Eternal Life is To Die For.

Seventeen year old Zoe Vanderveen is a GAP—a genetically altered person. She lives in the security of a walled city on prime water-front property along-side other equally beautiful people with extended life spans.

Her brother Liam is missing.

Noah Brody is a natural who lives on the outside. He leads protests against the GAPs and detests the widening chasm they’ve created between those who have and those who don’t. He doesn’t like girls like Zoe and he has good reason not to like her specifically.

Zoe’s carefree life takes a traumatic turn. She’s in trouble and it turns out that Noah, the last guy on earth she should trust, is the only one who can help her.

Book Haul: Sunday Post

So I didn't do this post last week because my kids had the Devil Stomach Flu. I'm not sure if it was it was the Norovirus because when we took my 3 year old to the hospital (dehydration) they said that they don't even bother to test for which one it is. I guess it's because it's the same treatment for all and there is really nothing you can do except let it run it's course and stay hydrated. So watch out, anyone can be walking around with it some people have natural immunities and never show symptoms, PLUS it can live on a surface for 2 weeks at least, might be 4. So now that I'm done with my health report...disinfect your laptop and hands and sit back down to enjoy my Sunday Post. :o)

So first of all my name is Jen and I am still really behind but at least I'm pumping out some reviews.

 Everbound by Brodi Ashton

The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter

Cover Reveal: Blurred by Tara Fuller  (Really love this cover)

Blog Tour: Interred by Marilyn Almodovar (You can still enter the giveaway!)

This week there will be more reviews and a cover reveal tomorrow. Well at this point it will actually be an hour. So stop back for more goodness.

Books I got....I actually can't remember all of them. I did pick up a couple that are old when I went to Andersons Bookshop to make sure I have my ticket for the Jennifer Rush signing.

I picked up Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck because I've heard soooo many great things about it. I've been meaning to read it. Just haven't yet. I also picked up a copy of Inbetween by Tara Fuller because I love the Blurred cover so much I know I'm going to want it in physical copy.

I also got some epic edeals, I say Epic because they are through Epic reads. They were between 1.99 and 2.99. I don't normally read contemporary YA but I feel like I need to get out of my comfort zone sometimes.

So I'm still trying to catch up on emails, review request and even just figuring out what Blog Tours I want to participate in. I've been reading my butt off (which I won't pretend like I don't enjoy) and trying to write reviews for books I have read.

Q: What is the first thing you would do if you woke up to find yourself in your favorite book?

Well if it's Harry Potter I would try out some spells

If it's Under the Never Sky, I would tackle Perry and be so happy my book boyfriend is real
