He isn’t everything he says he is. He’s even more…

Who is Chase Tallman, the newest member of Shadow Falls? What made him into the sexy, mysterious vampire he is today? And what led him to Della Tsang?

Step back in time and unearth the secrets that haunt him. The secret of how he became a vampire—and how he knows so much about being reborn. Secrets about his first love, his family--and what steers him toward Della, the beautiful, complicated girl he just can’t seem to stay away from. The one who makes him want things he thought he’d given up on long ago.

It all began with a research study, a palm reader, and a plane crash that sent him on a quest…for a love that’s unbreakable.

Unbreakable is C.C. Hunter’s short story prequel to the Shadow Falls: After Dark series and gives us a more in depth look at Chase. This is a story about Chase before he was changed. I really enjoyed it and thought it was neat to see a softer side to Chase. He is a normal high school boy here experiencing kind of his first love or first reciprocated crush I guess. When I was reading I was thinking about how I wouldn’t mind reading an entire book in his perspective. I really enjoyed him as a character. This is one of those series that I can not decide between the two guys and this story definitely endears me to Chase. I also liked the way it was written with news report about the crash and then kind of like flashbacks to the days leading up to it. If you are enjoying the series, definitely read this. It’s a great companion.
