Feature & Follow

Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that is designed to provide some much-appreciated exposure to the bloggers participating, and to expand their following. Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, each of whom feature a chosen blog for the week, it's an interesting way to get to know one another.

If you would like to follow me right now you can do so by GFC, Twitter or Linky (right side).

Q: Have you ever looked at book’s cover and thought, This is going to horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the cover and tell us about the book.

Wow this is a tough question being that I buy a lot of books based off their cover. A bad cover can easily turn me away from a book. Yes I'm a book snob as my husband would say. So this is what I got.

Now you might be thinking what is wrong with this book there is nothing ugly about this cover. Exactly there is nothing ugly or interesting about this cover. It looks like a boring old textbook. I was wrong though, I loved this book. I had to read it in college and normally I was a master at being able to not really read a book but somehow know all the key points. There were a few required reading books that I did enjoy and this was one of them. Don't let a what appears to be a "boring" cover sway you it might just mean the content is so great that a cover could never capture it.

  1. That looks like a very boring book, but once again never judge a book by its cover! I'm glad to hear you liked it :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and following... I'm a new follower via GFC (I followed by using the follow button at the top)

  2. I agree with you! I would've never picked up this book had I not been recommended it by a friend.

    Thanks for stopping by LIO!

  3. Oooh, awesome pick! I really liked this book as well as The Five People You Meet In Heaven (the only other Albom book I've read) but I definitely wouldn't have picked them up for the covers alone.
