What's New Pussycat?

Okay so the title of my blog post is silly but I actually used to sing the song to my son when he was a baby and he laughed hysterically.

My birthday was this past week on the 8th. It was fine but a little screwy because of the frigid temps we had here in Chicagoland. Kids/Teachers were off from school but even though I work for a school district I still have to work. So it just turned out to be a weird week in general.

As far as things I got, my 5 year old son was determined to get me a book. He got me the biggest cookbook I have ever seen in my life. I actually really enjoy reading cookbooks and I'm pretty sure this one has every recipe ever made.

With the Blog I'm going to be changing the design so I've been trying to decide what to do with that. I've decided on the theme but I keep changing what picture I want to use. Sometimes I just don't have time to get my ideas down in a usable form. So hopefully in the next week I'll be switching the layout. Although I think I will miss this one.

What I'm Reading
instead of doing a book hall I think I will post the books I'm going to be reading this month. Unless I get something cool or unusual like some nifty swag or book related things.

In Process
This book is so good. The only reason why it's taking me so long to read it is because it's intense and I'm worried about the ending. ha ha.

Just Finished
It was fun to read a different take on the lost city of Atlantis

  2. Awww, your son is so sweet! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Red Queen, I have seen reviews in both directions so I guess I'll have to read it myself to find out :D
